Protests erupt outside Kasba Police station as 3 arrested in alleged Kolkata college gang rape
In a brazen incident near Shahbazpur village of Hussainganj police station in Siwan, Bihar, unidentified miscreants shot dead an employee of Bharat Finance Company around 6 pm on Wednesday evening. The assailants, who ambushed the victim, identified as Neeraj Kumar, also made off with Rs 2.5 lakh and a motorcycle.
Following the attack, locals rushed the injured Neeraj Kumar to Sadar Hospital for treatment, where he was declared dead upon examination. The police are actively engaged in the investigation, relying on statements from nearby witnesses and scrutinizing CCTV footage to identify and apprehend the criminals responsible for this audacious crime.
According to Vinod Kumar, the manager of the Silav branch of Bharat Finance Company, Neeraj was returning after successfully recovering loan funds from Shahbazpur village when the assailants ambushed him from the east. The criminals stopped him near Shahbazpur village, looted the money, and, upon Neeraj's resistance, fatally shot him.
Hussainganj police station incharge Vijay Kumar Yadav stated that the criminals fired during the robbery, and the police are diligently working to identify and apprehend them. The investigation relies on interviews with nearby witnesses and the examination of CCTV footage to bring the perpetrators to justice.
